In México 37% of the food production in the field, is wasted, avoiding this waste could feed more than 12 million people per year. The food wasted in the country annually is 10.4 million tons. Avoiding or minimizing this waste was the biggest motivation for developing our solar drying technology.
We have worked with farmers to find out their needs and we have identified that in the Mexican countryside there are 4 specific problems that contribute to food waste: The lack of an adequate post-harvest technology, Adequate transportation infrastructure, roads being in some cases non-existent or difficult Access.
Lack of an adequate cold chain in that increases the cost and affects the quality of the product. This results in economic losses, which leads to the migration of farmers to the cities in search of employment. Lack of electricity and water to be able to implement a process post harvest in the field.

Therefore, our knowledge and love for Mexican cuisine has led us to develop sustainable food production, brand CREID BI (CREID: Believe, BI: Best Ingredients for aiding your health and the environment), produced with our technology that is in patent request. Our supplies are small producers that constitute about 90% of Mexican producers, backyard and organic.
With our technology we produce food in the field without preservatives or additives.
